An alternative to litigation

Anyone who has been involved in a long-running dispute or disagreement will know just how draining they can be both emotionally and financially.  Conflicts between individuals or businesses can be  stressful and exhausting. They are also time consuming and expensive.

Litigation and arbitration are risky. They follow set procedures over which the parties have little control. However good your case the outcome of litigation or arbitration cannot be guaranteed. Invariably there is a winner and a loser and often neither party is satisfied with the process or the outcome. Even if you win you will not recover all of the costs you incur and the costs could be considerable.

Mediation is a confidential, flexible and non-judicial process the focus of which is to settle disputes quickly. It can often achieve resolutions which are not possible through court proceedings because of the restrictions imposed by the judicial process.
